Until We Meet Again

The time finally came for my last family dinner, Bon Voyage party, and departure from East Lansing (which has been my home for the past 6 years). I had great times with some of the most important people in my life, whom I know will continue to support me on this adventure. I had to post now because this blog is about my journey, from start to finish, and all it entails.

The good-bye process became a reality this weekend for me with a lot of my closest friends and family. I had a hard time and ended up in too many tearful embraces for one day. I suppose that’s what I get for putting them off until now. I get misty thinking about all the expressions of kindness and support I was shown. Things are going to be different from here on out, and those relationships will now face the tests of distance and time. I won’t be able to maintain them in the ways I always have. I promise to keep up with this blog, Skype, and email as best as I can, and I hope you’ll do the same.

To my friends and family: thank you for your love. It’s impossible to fully convey how much it means to me.
