First Look

It takes quite a bit of time to upload pictures, so these are just a few shots of my house. I’ll post more of my village when I settle in a bit more. There aren’t any cool animals lurking in the background; I’m keeping my eyes peeled for elephants in the back yard.

Welcome home - the Boteti River is just out back!

Here's my bedroom, standard level of sloppiness

I had to include one of my scruffy mug; healthy and grungy

Don’t they have an Ikea in Botswana? 🙂

This post made me soooo happy! I love your little house (like Jamie, I was imagining something much worse) and I am ecstatic to see it in person one day. I’m also excited to hear that you’re making progress at your NGO – slowly, but surely!

Here’s update from me: it’s the dead of summer here in the mitten. 90+ degrees every day! Art Fair just wrapped up, and I have no more travels this summer (except maybe a jaunt in the D). It’ll be nice to stay home and enjoy the dog days of summer.

I’ll be calling you very soon – hope my call goes through! I can’t wait to talk to you.

P.S. You are so hairy. You could totally be a lumberjack without much effort. I would mail you an axe if I could!
